My Writer’s Corner

I thought it would be nice to share a look at where I work and bring my stories to life. So here’s a sneak peek at my office where I’ve set up my writer’s corner.

My executive corner suite with two small desks smushed together to make one large desk. Gives me plenty of room to spread out my notes or work from my notebooks. The chair is also nice to adjust and sit in different positions. I have a hard time sitting in the same position for too long, so that kind of chair helps. You can also see my “currently reading” pile on my printer. Work is ramping up, so “Mt Friends” by Fredrik Backman is on hold for now.

I really enjoy the dual screen setup. It allows me to have my manuscript on one screen, and then any notes or descriptions pulled up on the other to make sure the plot line is consistent. You’ll see a scattering of post it notes reminding me of little details or changes, and character breakdowns overhead to keep them all tonally the same.

I also use the dual screen to play TTRPGs with my friends, hence all the dice.

My co-writer would have been so mad if I didn’t give him a shout out. He’s not very good at editing, but he is great at moral support.

Hopefully, with his help I’ll be able to post some revisions soon!
